Everything you need to know about classes, memberships and bookings at TMC KIDS.

If you’re new here, the best way to get started is to book a free trial class so your child can experience the program and meet our coaches.

If you still have questions after reading the FAQs, our team is always happy to help.

Getting Started — How do I book a free trial?

Every child is welcome to attend one free trial class.

To book:
1. Click Book a Free Trial
2. Create your family account in our customer portal
3. Choose your preferred class day and time
4. Submit your trial request

Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

After attending the trial, simply log back into the portal to enrol and secure your child’s place in the class.

What ages are your classes for?

Our programs are designed for children aged 2–17 years.

Classes are grouped by age so children can learn alongside others at a similar stage.

Programs include:

  • Toddler & Parent classes (2–4 years)
  • Preschool movement classes (3–5 years)
  • Movement classes (4–7 years)
  • Movement classes (8–12 years)
  • Youth Movers / Teen classes (13–17 years)
Each class focuses on strength, coordination, confidence and fun movement skills.

Does my child need experience?

Not at all.

Our classes are designed so every child can participate, regardless of experience or ability.

We provide different progressions for each skill so children can work at their own level and build confidence over time.

My child is shy — will they be okay?

Absolutely.

Many children start off shy, and that’s completely normal. Our coaches are experienced at helping kids settle in at their own pace.

We focus on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where kids feel safe to try new things, make friends and build confidence.

What should my child wear to class?

Comfortable clothing they can move easily in.

Most kids wear:

  • Shorts or leggings
  • T-shirts or singlets
  • Bare feet or grip socks
Avoid clothing with zips or hard accessories.

Can parents watch the class?

Yes.

For most classes, parents watch from our designated waiting area.

For toddler classes (ages 2–4), a parent participates on the floor with their child to help support their learning and confidence.

Membership & Payments — How does the membership work?

TMC KIDS operates on a weekly membership model.

This means:

  • Your child attends the same class each week
  • Payments are automatically processed every Tuesday
  • Your child’s spot is reserved in that class
Membership continues until a cancellation request is submitted via the customer portal.

How much do classes cost?

Weekly membership pricing:

  • 1 class per week — $24
  • 2 classes per week — $37
  • 3 classes per week — $50
Youth Movers (teen program):
  • 1 class — $26
  • 2 classes — $42
  • 3 classes — $53
There is also a $90 annual membership fee per child, which includes insurance, a TMC KIDS shirt and access to member events.

Are classes charged during school holidays?

Yes.

TMC KIDS runs on a continuous membership model, which means classes and billing continue during school holidays.

This helps maintain consistency for students and keeps their place reserved in their class.

Absences & Make-Ups — What if my child misses a class?

If your child will be away, simply submit a Future Absence through the customer portal at least 1 hour before the class.

After the class passes, you’ll receive a make-up token which can be used to book another class.

How do make-up classes work?

Make-up tokens:

  • Are issued when you submit a Future Absence in advance
  • Can be used to book another class
  • Are subject to availability
Make-up tokens can only be used while your child is actively enrolled.

Membership Changes — Can we pause our membership?

We no longer offer pauses for memberships.

If you will be away for a short time, you can use make-up tokens for missed classes.

Alternatively, you may cancel your enrolment with notice and re-enrol later if space is available.

How do I cancel enrolment?

All enrolments are ongoing until a Drop Request is submitted through the customer portal.

We require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice.

Billing continues during the notice period.

Can we switch to a different class?

Yes — as long as there is availability.

You can request a transfer through the portal or contact our team and we’ll help find a suitable class.

Programs & Events — What do children learn in classes?

Our classes focus on developing:

  • Strength
  • Coordination
  • Balance
  • Confidence
  • Fundamental movement skills
Skills taught include handstands, cartwheels, obstacle courses, rings work and movement games, all taught in a fun and structured environment.

Do you run holiday workshops?

Yes.

We run school holiday workshops that focus on different skills and movement challenges.

Workshops are open to both members and non-members and are usually announced 4–5 weeks before the holidays.
